expedition to yooperland…

…visiting Sweetous’ parents in the remote backcountry of the Michigan UP. we left Tues nite and 6:00 pm and with three of us driving non top (except for brief breaks) we arrived at 5:00pm Wednesday ! GAWD ! what a drive ! The drive was long, but actually went very well, no heavy traffic or anything like that.

This is the first I have been online since we left. I am anintenet junkie and it is weird being without it. Sweetous made me get a dial-up connection ’cause she has to do her school work. She finished for now, so I can lurk and prowl a while. GAWD, dial up is so slow ! I will be glad to get back to the high speed at home, even though I am not happy with Comcast’s performance, i am going to get fiber optics !

I call this place the edge of nowhere or the land that time forgot. It is very isolated, drive for 45 minutes to go to Wal-Mart. Nice and cool though, and I love that Pastie !
