I am sitting at my computer surfing the web, winding down before bed. It was a good Sunday, I went to church, did a little shopping, and just took it easy. Yesterday and today I did a lot with this blog: copied posts from my old TypePad blog, added a bunch of links, and added widgets to the sidebar. I like this blogging platform, my only complaints are I wish they allowed Java Script and it seems to take a long time for changes to the sidebar to show up. Otherwise, WordPress.com is great. I really love the absence of trash comments; on my previous WP blog I was getting all kinds of stuff about viagra, insurance, and other junk. Not so here. The music at church today was great !

I’m a patriotic American and a Christian. Of course those two are not the same thing (contrary to what some people think). Actually the teachings of Jesus Christ are not at all agreeable with American culture or Capitalism in many instances. Even so, I choose to pass this on for all to see. This was in my email this morning thanks to my buddy Smitty.
I’ll bet this was a surprise to NBC.
Do you believe in God?
NBC this morning had a poll on this question. They had the highest number of responses that they have ever had for one of their polls, and the percentage was the same as this: 86% to keep the words, IN God We Trust and God in the Pledge of Allegiance 14% against. That is a pretty ‘commanding’ public response.
I was asked to send this on if I agreed or! delete if I didn’t .
Now it is your turn . . It is said that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore, I have a very hard time understanding why there is such mess about having “In God We Trust” on our money and having God in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Why is the world catering to this 14%?
AMEN!
If you agree, pass this on , if not, simply delete .
I will take the liberty of making a small modification…
