thursday night…
I just got back from church. We had a good liturgy this evening; the choir reconstituted itself for the evening. That was great as we had not had the choir for a couple years. My church has been being trendy with the music and sloppy with the liturgy for a good while now. Tonight was good. Perhaps a portent of better things. At the close of the service we knelt and prayed Psalm 22 while the altar was stripped, I got choked up doing that. Pastor Randy in his sermon talked about how in the Eucharist we are partaking in the meal with the entire Communion of Saints; I hadn’t thought of it that way before. That was good. After tonight I resolved to stop frequenting trashy chat rooms on the internet; I want to do better as a Christ Follower.
