I was really busy at work today with the bulk of my time spent tending the printer. I was finishing up a large project that involved printing numerous large spreadsheets. I usually print on my desk printer but this was too big a job for that so I used the behemoth large capacity heavy duty network printer in the supply room instead. Hanging around the behemoth all day, I noted that it was working almost continuously all day; no wonder it breaks so often. It gets no rest ! I remember back at dawning of the Information Age many people anticipated the Paperless Office. Actually technology has had the opposite effect; now it is easy to produce documents and make multiple changes to them and of course everyone involved with a given document must have their very own printed copy (or copies) of every revision. So much for the paperless office !
