Of course you probably noticed “that’s a lot of stuff to read !” Ok, an explanation: no I didn’t read all this stuff this morning. Mostly I took a quick look and copied links to stuff that got my attention. LOL, I don’t actually know, but I suspect I have AD/HD. I’m interested in all sorts of stuff, and I get easily distracted from one thing to another. Anyway, I’ve read some of this stuff in the past, will read some in the future, some of it won’t get read. An additional note about the linkage on this blog: I don’t necessarily agree with everything on the linked sites. Of course, some I do, some I don’t. If I post the link the one thing you can be sure of is that it is something that got my attention, at least for the moment. So, now, let’s continue lurking and prowling the wicked, wonderful and wild WWW…

GMX - Global Mail Exchange - I saw this email service advertised in a magazine. Of course I can’t resist trying these things out, so I got an account. I doubt that it will cause me to abandon gmail but from what I see so far, I much prefer GMX over Hotmail or Yahoo.
another web application…
I went to Barnes and Noble today and browsed around the books and magazines. I was reading some computer magazine and found and article about web applications. Buzzword was mentioned and I had not encountered that one before. So, when I got back home, I opened an account. It’s different from some other web apps that I have used; has a very vista like appearance, also saves to and opens from your hard drive. I don’t think you can use it to post directly to a blog; would be a nice feature to have. I am writing this on Buzzword but will cut and paste to post to my blog.

friday evening…
Today was a busy day, but I really did not make a lot of progress ! I went to get my blood drawn for labs, so that wasted about 2 hours. At work I did a lot of loose ends stuff but did not get a lot done otherwise. I gave some stuff to Heather to do, so that will help me some. There was lot’s of ice out today, hoping tomorrow will be nicer. Mike and Piglette came down for the weekend; they all went out shopping ! I told Sweetous and Pig to be careful in the stores ! LOL, I always get uneasy when the women go to stores. So, now I’m just taking it easy listening to music and prowling the web…

Cloudo - The Computer Evolved - this looks interesting, but doesn’t seem to be working yet; appears to be some sort of web desktop and applications set-up; sort of like think free or zoho perhaps ? It’s getting to be that you really don’t need to buy software for your computer because there is so much available via the web….
