Yesterday I left work about 10 minutes early hoping to outrun an approaching storm; I could see it bearing down on us through my office window. I was not able to make any time though because the roads were already crowded with others trying to get home quickly. The storm caught up with me; it was pretty nasty. The power in our building and at Sweetous’ work went out and there was lots of traffic lights out; no power outage at home though and no damage. They say we will get more of the same today which I should miss driving through ’cause I must leave at noon ’cause I have a repairman coming to the house.
