baby shower weekend…

Sweetous,Piglette,Ma, LB with me in back ground...

We did a road trip this weekend to DuBois and State College to visit my parents and Piglette & Mike; Pig’s baby shower was this weekend. A good time was had by all; complete with lots of food ! The major drawback was, we burned a lot of gas traveling ! To see more pics from this event, click here. Pig got lots of baby clothes and various equipment & paraphenalia including a Womb Sounds Bear ! I thought that was so cool, it makes heart beat and other noises to simulate what the baby hears while in the womb. Cool !

a pre-emptive strike against the proverbial wolf at the door…

After work I took my can of coins to Safeway and dumped them into the coin eating machine: I got over a $100.00 which I will use to make a grocery run to Wal-Mart tomorrow. I’ve never been one to watch my money real closely but over the past few months it has become evident that I need to tighten things up; especially need to stop charging things.

The wolf is not at the door but I can see him out there circling around, waiting, watching. My intent his to bite the wolf in the ass before he bites me in the ass… (more…)

I’m at my Parents’ place. This is one of the rare times when I have been able to snag a WiFi connection here; pretty cool ! I just got back from driving my Ma, Sweetous and Piglette around to yard sales; gawd it is HOT ! My Ma is funny, she bought some crystal pieces and a couple other nick nacks to add to her already large collection of such stuff. She is happy ’cause she got a good buy on it. LOL, my self I really don’t get it but oh well.

A busy day; up early to goto church and then we took the dogs walking in the park. So we all got some exercise today. When we finished the walk Sweetous went shopping with LB and I went to Wal-Mart to buy bottled waters. Now I am in the process of reinstalling XP on Mike’s computer; hoping that it will stay working once I do that.

I like to try out new software and such on the web. Here are my most recent ones: Plaxo, a social networking site similar to MySpace, but better IMHO and Tumblr, a really cool minimalist blogging set-up. Of course I opened an account for both of them: random notes and linkage… and Dennis Reasinger’s Public Profile

weekend road trip…

I’ve been neglectful of my blog ! We did a road trip this past weekend to visit my Parents; drove my Ma around to yard sales most of Saturday. I was impressed with her; like the Energizer Bunny she just kept going and going. I think it’s funny the way women (Sweetous is the same way) will search amongst all that junk looking for a good buy. Most of the stuff  in yard sales does not interest me to either buy or sell; I would either throw it out or give it away. But, they do find some good stuff (as well as some not so good). Sweetous showed me a nice jacket which I bought for $1.00 !
